Summer

Many prefer summer, when the lake is at its best. Clear water reflects the blue sky and mountains of The Berkshires; you might see fish swim by as you stand on the pier to gaze at the gravel bottom of the beachfront. On many days you’ll want to join them in the cooling, pristine waters of Pontoosuc Lake.

Fall

Autumn foliage in the Berkshires is renowned among travelers from distant locales. Add to that bright, crisp days and spectacular sunsets in perfect view across the lake against the Taconic range as the days dwindle, heralding the change of season.

Winter

But winter has a charm all its own. The open hearth, the cozy room, the exhilarating walks, and skiing, snowshoeing and ice fishing: each holds delights when snow falls and the temperature drops.

Spring

Of course, spring means the return of the geese, the bloom of apple and cherry trees and the greening of lawns – a welcome change from April showers.
